Helloooo August! Well I survived the heatwave last month, but not the work wave. Well sort of. Just didn't have much time for personal work. But that doesn't mean I can't squeeze in drawing time while I eat and such...which brings me to the following anecdote.
Anecdote: I was eating pizza one night to sort of re-charge my day because I'd been feeling really burnt out. This little boy and his father were sitting at the table next to mine while I was drawing and writing To-Do lists, which is something I tend to do when eating alone. When the boy got up to leave, he said: "Bye," to me, heads for the door, then turns around and says, "Miss, your drawings are wonderful" in the most adorable British accent possible. It was the sweetest thing in the world and I honestly don't think anything could've turned my day around so quickly as a compliment from a child.
Here's what I was drawing when he left.
(I also did a lighting test below).
